Enquire about notarization or certification for your document. Ask the office what originals and identification it needs to review and whether it can assist with the intended use.

Affidavits and statutory declarations

Ask about assistance with an affidavit or statutory declaration, including the appropriate declaration or affirmation process and whether document preparation is part of the service requested.

Consent and supporting documents

For a travel-consent document or another supporting declaration, explain the general purpose when arranging the appointment. Confirm any requirements provided by the organization that will receive the document.

Notarization does not guarantee that a document will be accepted by a government, court, institution or other recipient. Confirm the receiving organization's requirements and ask the office about the relevant service.

Arranging an appointment
